As you look at each of these photograph, please ask yourself what you would say if you saw the photograph in an RSPCA press release.

Then tell me how can you support the RSPCA if you really do care about animal welfare.

In response to the Wooler review, the RSPCA said:
"The RSPCA is able to provide evidence of the welfare problems caused by unregulated sanctuaries"!

Are RSPCA an unregulated, regulated or self regulated sanctuary? Anyone or any organisation or authority who claims to be regulating the RSPCA should, in our opinion, be ashamed of themselves, as F.A.I.R. are able to provide evidence of welfare problems within the RSPCA itself!

On this page are just a selection of the hundreds of photographs, taken at various locations throughout England and Wales, showing how animals are kept by the RSPCA and other 'rescues'.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of what public donations are funding.

When the RSPCA make statements claiming to be saving animals from neglect and claims to the court that they removed the animals to a suitable and safe environment, they are lying and deliberately misleading the courts and the public.

Is it acceptable that the prosecutor keeps animals in breach of the very same laws they are prosecuting others for?
A horse in RSPCA care, at a private boarding yard in North Wales.
This horse was lucky that someone, (the investigator), was there to free him from these gates, one hind hoof firmly stuck between the bars and the other hindleg right underneath the gate, he had little chance of freeing himself. We dread to think what could have happened, broken leg/s or died from exhaustion or stress.
How many horses have met their deaths this way in RSPCA care? At these private boarding facilities, whos whereabouts are kept secret and are often in remote locations, no one to check on these places, as no licenses or checks are legally required.

Animals which the RSPCA claim to be saving from cruelty and neglect, are they really doing as they claim?

These gates are clearly an hazard and unsuitable.
The bedding is sparse, wet and filthy.
This is not a one off, this is normality at all the private boarding facilities, (which investigators have visited) for horses placed into RSPCA care, usually by the police. Do the police actually check on these seized exhibits?.

The RSPCA have prosecuted people for less.

F.A.I.R. can confirm that almost 3 years on from the horse being trapped in the gate at RSPCA boarding facilities in North Wales, there has been no change and the gates are still in use, exactly as they were before the RSPCA were made aware of the incident in 2019.

Unsuitable/dangerous environment yet nothing has been done to rectify this.
If this was a normal member of the public the RSPCA would have demanded expensive changes to the environment at best and prosecuted if not done.

The environment isn't the cleanest either, the RSPCA have claimed cleaner beds to be unsuitable.

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE

IN THE DOGS BELOW

This dog was in the care of a normal member of the public.

The RSPCA prosecuted the person responsible for the dog.

This dog had been in the care of a poloce force for a few weeks.

To date no one seems concerned about the way the police have cared for this dog and returned him in this state to his owner.

THE TRUSTPILOT REVIEW THE RSPCA TRIED TO BAN

The RSPCA are the most disgusting, lying excuse for a charity who couldn’t lie straight in bed!

Promises of contact before visiting, promises of reply’s to complaints, promises of complete transparency, promises of care for taken animals, promises, promises, promises!

All lies,lies,lies!

You’ve managed to prove your own cruelty and neglect by failing to “protect my animals from pain and suffering.” You’ve failed to give them an efficient parasitic worm control program, you’ve failed to provide adequate lice control, you’ve neutered a cat by mistake (yes by mistake!) You’ve allowed a pony to fracture its pelvis, another pony ended up suffering a serious respiratory condition that’s she’s never suffered from previously and of course you’ve KILLED a pony after she was barbarically put in a crush causing her to injure herself so badly that she had injuries to her brain tissue, lungs, face and thoracic area. Even her unborn baby had injuries to their lung tissue! All this jointly ended in her traumatic death. All this after 5 months in your “care”

Another pony DYING 7 months in your “care” with a serious mass emergence of encysted red worm which should have been treated in Nov/Dec when she was in your “care!”

Failed again to give this pony adequate parasitic worm control (a section 9 offence!) She was also was “suffering” with a chronic lice infestation. She was seen to have many lesions on her body where she had rubbed herself so much. “Failing to provide treatment for her chronic lice infestation!” Another section 9 offence!

A poor pygmy goat who was happy and healthy previously, DIED with two types of parasitic worms in her gut. Why? 6 months in your “care”

All these FACTS are told by the Veterinary University of Nottinghamshire’s post mortem reports.

Yet you are taking me to court to prosecute me for these same offences!

These are FACTS you won’t read after my case in the Derbyshire Times. In there you’ll read a one sided load of rubbish all told by the Rspca, the defendant never gets a chance to air the truth and the press won’t report it anyway. They won’t tell you about the RSPCA’s failings, about their offences.

They won’t tell you how they’ve made my life a misery by constantly visiting but never leaving a card, by making up lies that I’ve been reported and contacting me to further my anxiety and depression, by using others to spy and trespass on the land, videoing a poor pony who tragically had to be put to sleep with serious colic the evening previously by the vet. Trespassing the next morning videoing her poor body that I had covered to preserve her dignity, the hunt coming that day to remove her. But the Rspca vet on seeing this load of rubbish video, tries to say her poor body has been there for at least 2-3 weeks! Such blatant lies and the truth can be proven.

It’s time the British press told the actual truth about these stories, we’ve got the evidence!

Instead of believing the most vile, corrupt excuse for a charity this country has ever seen.

TIME FOR CHANGE It’s time it was FAIR!

F.A.I.R. are hearing and seeing the same things day after day, the RSPCA are neglecting and failing animals on a huge scale. Photographs and written evidence more than proves these claims.

The RSPCA claim it is just unfortunate when any animal succumbs to their neglect and incompetence, yet any one else fail in the same manner and the RSPCA will prosecute them!

DO AS WE SAY NOT AS WE DO!

How can that be FAIR or just?

When is someone going to do something about it?

How many more animals and people have to be let down/failed by the RSPCA, the police, the government, the system, before there is a full and efficient public inquiry, when will there be change?.

The RSPCA have prosecuted people for less.

May 2021 and RSPCA are still letting animals down which they have prosecuted others for.

The pony below was seized in early July 2019, this photograph having been taken in May 2019. FAIR are in possession of photographs of this pony just days after she was seized and whisked away to a secret location by the RSPCA, the photograph shows her in the same or very similar condition to this photograph.

Compare the photograph below to the one above.

This is the same pony after almost two years in RSPCA 'care', photograph taken April 2021.

Who should be prosecuted?

When will the government listen to the people and stop this charity from neglecting, killing and abusing more animals?

When will the public, yes you, stop funding this disgusting treatment of animals and humans by this charity?

The RSPCA have prosecuted people for less.

"After being shown the photos, a spokeswoman for the RSPCA said they had sent an inspector unannounced to check on the ponies and were satisfied they were not being neglected".

The spokeswoman said the ponies were only in the stables overnight and that during the day they were turned out in fields. She said they had matted coats because of ‘the change of season’."

On reading the above quote from the RSPCA, an investigator went to this facility the very next day, hoping to see the ponies, in the above article, turned out in the fields.
Surprise surprise, none of these ponies were turned out in the fields, even though it was a hot and sunny day.
There were however, two horses left in rugs all day!, despite the soaring temperatures. They had obviously been out all night as they were in the field before dawn, when the investigator arrived.
That day no horses or ponies were turned out, or taken in from the fields.

Yet more animals in RSPCA care, being neglected and more lies from the RSPCA.
Empty fields at the private boarding facility in Northumberland, despite the RSPCA claiming the ponies boarded there were turned out in fields in the day time and were only in those stables overnight. The fourth photograph shows two horses, who were clearly living outside night and day, still wearing rugs in the soaring daytime temperature. Please do read the last one, it is David Bowles  on Twitter making claims about licensing. If this is what regulations and licensing are achieving it needs seriously looking at.

Jack and Homer kept in RSPCA 'care' at what the RSPCA claimed to be "luxury boarding kennels" in Essex, however their owner refutes these claims after visiting the site and says 'it is just an house with numerous sheds in the rear garden/yard area".

The first photograph shows Jack, before and after, in the owners care looking fit, healthy and happy with a zest for life in the top photograph. Below it IS the same dog, we hardly believed it either, in RSPCA 'care', overweight, looking sad and broken. How can any of this be deemed to be in the animals best interests?.

Second photograph is Jack again after jumping into the vets car, during a visit with his owner whilst in the care of the RSPCA, those eyes say it all and if you had to caption this photograph I am sure you would agree that this dog is saying:

"Please mummy can I come home with you? I don't like it here".

Sadly Jack died in the RSPCA's care.

Middle two photographs show injuries and hair loss from a possible number of reasons but some look very likely to be from lying on hard surfaces indicating a lack of, or insufficient, bedding material.

Last two photographs are Homer, he was just a pup when taken into RSPCA care, not even a year old and six years on he is still in RSPCA care, in their version of 'luxury boarding kennels' in Essex, his teeth in desperate need of cleaning and looking broken and sad after spending the majority of his life in kennels with no daily love or affection, no interaction with other dogs as he is deemed a 'prohibited type', a destruction order hanging over his head, which the RSPCA actively sought.

Homer caused a stir on social media in 2019 when the RSPCA were set to carry out that destruction order, however his loving owner was having none of it and after making this fact very public the RSPCA did a U turn, giving everyone every excuse and lie they could think of. Some of their responses to various people can be seen below. In one response they even claim to be against the dangerous dogs act (DDA 1991) commonly referred to as breed specific legislation (BSL), yet the RSPCA were the ones who prosecuted Jack and Homers owner under this very law, the RSPCA are not under any statutory duty to prosecute anyone for anything, they choose to take every prosecution they take by way of private prosecution, they CHOSE to prosecute using the DDA 1991, they even said "We do not agree with this legislation and are campaigning for it to be repealed, but until that time we have to act within the law" remember as we have said above they are not under any statutory duty to take out any prosecution or enforce any law.

It is our opinion that the claim by the RSPCA to be against the dangerous dogs act is merely lip service to the public as they know that government will not repeal the act, as if they did, the first attack after repeal of the law by one of those types of dogs and there would be uproar, the RSPCA know this and thus hoodwink the public with their pretence of being against it.

A selection of RSPCA responses concerning Homer

Photographs taken at an RSPCA private boarding yard in North Wales, of a young foal who was born in RSPCA 'care', suffering with an obviously weeping eye and seemingly untreated. The investigator spent all day at this facility, from dawn till dusk and no one came to the field to treat this young foals eye, nor even check on any of the animals.

The DEFRA code of practice says:
Supervision
1.26. Horses at grass should be inspected at least once a day, preferably more often"

However the owner did not expect to see this horse, some months later, on the SSPCA's website in the state shown in the photograph opposite. Seems SSPCA are just the same as RSPCA, do as we say not as we do, how can prosecutions instigated by the SSPCA, when they themselves are guilty of cruelty and neglect be justified, where is the justice when obviously the owner looked after this horse much better than the SSPCA did. When are things going to change and be FAIR!

Thankfully the owner managed to get this mare returned to her and she is in much better condition than this now.

When the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals seized one horse, they were asked to take this chestnut mare also, as her owner feared she would not cope with her friend and companion gone.

Another horse in RSPCA care, this one had been in their care for over 12 months at the time this photograph was taken.

Ribs clearly visible.

RSPCA Hull

Conditions dogs were kept in at RSPCA Hull, kennels not fit for purpose, dirty bed on filthy tiled floor, sores/injuries on legs.

The RSPCA knew these kennels were unsuitable to house dogs as they admitted this during their campaign to raise funds to rebuild, however that did not stop them using them, note the rusty wire.

If this had been anyone else putting dogs in these conditions the RSPCA would have prosecuted them.

Christmas at Bransby Horses.

No dry stables and deep straw beds for these sanctuary horses at Christmas, just wet muddy fields, dirty coats and heavy, muddy, wet and matted tails.

Despite Bransby making several claims that all horses had been moved from the fields due to flooding in 2019, investigators found horses living full time on those very wet and very muddy fields.

Even when Bransby did move horses to their new site there were possible welfare issues with these horses. F.A.I.R. have photographs of the new site and horses.

More evidence of neglect of animals in RSPCA care, wet. filthy beds, dirty drinking water, animals unkempt.

Kennel area and public toilets at RSPCA Gonsal.

Before we even reached the kennel block at RSPCA Gonsal, there was a very strong smell of urine/amonia, this was outside in the "fresh air", though obviously not so fresh at RSPCA Gonsal!. Inside the kennels the smell was even stronger.
Photographs show faeces in the kennels, filthy walls of the dogs sleeping areas, broken drain covers and tiles, an obvious hazard for animals and humans alike.
No toys in the kennels or any form of stimulation for the dogs. The dogs had water but no food available, something the RSPCA make a thing about when prosecuting people. Even the toilets are filthy!

Horses at World horse welfare, the tiny white pony looks to be suffering unnecessarily, an offence under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

On a visit to World Horse Welfare investigators spotted a tiny shetland type pony, out in one of the paddocks who had obviously rubbed themselves raw and was constantly kicking at their belly. Indicating some irritation going on, most probably from midges as the pony looks to be suffering from a condition called sweet itch which is a condition in horses caused by an allergic reaction to the bites of midges.

Investigators returned to World Horse Welfare a few days later when they opened to the public and found the little sweet itch pony in their special care paddock, so not only was the pony suffering from sweet itch, this little one also had laminitis which is a lifelong condition and can result in euthanasia.

Signs on the wall where we found the suffering pony.

The following photographs show the pony covered up in an oversize rug, not a proper sweet itch rug for welfare reasons but just an oversized rug to cover up and hide the condition of the pony underneath, to hide their obvious neglect of this pony. Investigators manged to get a photograph of her lying down, showing the rubbed tail it also looks like the rug straps are possibly rubbing the pony and causing sores.

The marks in the sand surface are where this pony has literally dragged her feet in the sand, obviously having difficulty in picking her feet up and walking properly.

Investigators then witnessed this suffering pony being dragged down to the paddocks to be turned out for the night, along a stony path which was obviously very uncomfortable for the pony as she did not want to walk and was literally dragged to the paddock as can be seen in the photograph below.

A stony path is the worst surface to walk a laminitic pony on.

After speaking with the original owner of these ponies F.A.I.R. were informed that the pony, or indeed the other two with her, had never had laminitis in their pasts, they knew about the switch itch but said she had never looked like that as they had never had a problem with controlling the sweet itch.

It seems the convicted owner managed to keep these little ponies healthier than the sanctuary full of 'experts' have manged to do!!!

Horses in conditions worse than the RSPCA have had horses seized from.

No shelter provided, natural or otherwise, lots of mud, do as we say not as we do!

Is it any wonder that they do not want people knowing where they keep all these animals when they keep them like this.

The RSPCA have prosecuted people for less.

A pony suffering in a private boarding yard whilst in the RSPCA's care.
This pony is in pain and appears to be suffering from laminitis, a very painful and crippling disease with no obvious signs of treatment being given to this poor pony, who is therefore clearly suffering unnecessarily in the care of the RSPCA.
The way this pony is stood, is a typical stance of a pony suffering from laminitis.

Before RSPCA care

A normal healthy looking dog.

Placed into the care of the RSPCA, we would all think that this little dog is now safe and living the perfect life, loved and wanting for nothing.

We once thought so too, we were also once fooled by the lies from the RSPCA just accepting of their word,

After RSPCA care

A mangled and not so nice looking dog.

Injured whilst in RSPCA care and left to suffer, an offence under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

At least three of this same owners dogs were injured whilst in the care of the RSPCA.

You can read more about this incident in the letter below.

Remember, please ask yourself what you would say if you saw the photograph in an RSPCA press release.

This cruelty and neglect has obviously been going on for many years within the RSPCA. How has this charity got away with this for so long?. How many animals have suffered in their hands?. Please remember when you drop that change into that collection box, or sign up to that monthly direct debit, that donation is funding this cruelty and neglect, this is the reality of what you are supporting. If you support the RSPCA, you are part of this.

The RSPCA have prosecuted people for less.

If you are taking in animals for the RSPCA and other certain organisations, are friends with someone who works for RSPCA or others, or work for the RSPCA yourself, it seems you can keep animals any way you like, from broken unsuitable fencing to hazards and filth galore, underweight and sick/suffering animals too.  The RSPCA use photographs like these to prosecute anyone else, there is even a door with glass in it in one enclosure where horses are being kept, the bottom pane is boarded up, probably having been previously kicked through by a horse, we cannot help but wonder what injuries any animals suffered when that happened.

Hazards and rundown places along with underweight/sick animals are just some of the things investigators have come across.

All the places in these photographs have connections to RSPCA and other organisations taking animals under animal laws.

This black, smelly, disgusting mess in and around the feeder is what these ponies, in RSPCA care, are being fed as a suitable diet.

The RSPCA have prosecuted people for less.
More evidence of the filthy conditions and cruelty to horses, kept in RSPCA care.

If what you have seen already isn't bad enough, the piebald mare stood in the corner of this filthy enclosure,
left side of photograph, has just given birth, hence the blood on her hind legs.

Forced to give birth in filth, locked in an enclosure with a herd of inquisitive horses,
who all want to see the new baby.
This mother is forced to hide and protect her new born baby, at a time when she should be
resting and bonding, feeding and cleaning her precious foal.

You can clearly see the foal's leg in the second photograph, hidden in front of mum.
This mare should not be housed like this, the psychological suffering must be immense, this is cruelty.

The following is taken from DEFRA Code of practice for horses, ponies, donkeys and their hybrid:

1.16. Groups of horses can be kept together in communal barns, but care should be taken to ensure that all horses get adequate access to hay, feed and water. Sufficient space should be provided to allow free movement, and to allow all the horses to lie down at the same time. Keeping horses in groups may enhance the psychological wellbeing of the animals, but care should be taken to select groups that are compatible and aggressive horses should be segregated. Late term mares and mares with foals at foot have special requirements and it may not be appropriate to house these animals in communal barns.

Dogs in RSPCA 'care', unsuitable environment and no water freely available.

These dogs were seized due to an unsuitable environment the RSPCA claim, however at the address the dogs were seized from, there was an elderly vulnerable person living there whom social services were involved with. If the environment was unsuitable for the dogs why was that same environment deemed suitable for an elderly vulnerable person?.

Is sawdust really a suitable environment for these dogs, including a bitch with puppies. We think that is very very questionable, as at least one dog suffered eye problems whilst in RSPCA 'care', as shown in the last photograph, most likely from the sawdust, though the RSPCA and their vets are unlikely to admit that and will always try to lay the blame at the owners door, even when the issue arises many weeks or months after seizure.

No water was available in any of the kennels at the time of this visit. We suspect that is because any water bowls will soon get contaminated with sawdust and dirty contaminated water is noticed far readily than no water at all.

Cold concrete kennels with a chewed plastic bed and threadbare blanket that barely covers the base of the hard bed, sawdust on the floor that sticks to my fur and enters every orifice and even gets carried into my bed making it feel like I have been eating my biscuits in there ....

This is reality, a far cry from the way things are portrayed in adverts and claims made by the RSPCA.

The RSPCA have prosecuted people for less.

This is the aftermath of the RSPCA having the dogs removed.

This vulnerable lady was left living in a house which the RSPCA claimed was not fit for dogs to live in.

If the conditions were as bad as the RSPCA, vets and police claimed why was this vulnerable lady left in there?.

Horses in RSPCA care deserve better than, insecure, very low and sagging electric fences, which they can easily become entangled in!
The grazing also clearly contains ragwort, a plant which is poisonous to horses.
Do the RSPCA inform the new owners (or indeed the original owners if they were to win their court case and the animals have to be returned), that these horses have been grazing in ragwort infested fields and there may be problems in their futures?.

The RSPCA have prosecuted people for less.

Fields divided into smaller areas, to house dozens of horses, ponies and donkeys for the RSPCA, whilst waiting for court cases to conclude.
Over grazed and under maintained, resulting in lack of grass for the animals to eat and lots of manure left in these tiny areas, which does nothing for parasite control in the horses.
At the 2019 World Horse Welfare Conference, one of the speakers, a mental health nurse, stated that animal welfare inspectors had informed her that, "animal hoarders kept animals in small areas, often splitting up larger areas to accommodate more animals"!

Donkeys are living outside with no suitable protection from the rain, the DEFRA Code of practice for the welfare of HORSES, PONIES, DONKEYS AND THEIR HYBRIDS (the very tool the RSPCA uses to help prosecute others) states:

How to provide a suitable environment for your horse

The need for a suitable environment (Section 9(2) (a) of the Act)
This section offers guidance on providing your horse with a suitable place to live.
SHELTER
1.1
Donkeys have specific needs for roofed shelters with solid walls and clean, dry areas on which to stand, as they are not well adapted to wet and cold conditions.

Two youngsters at an RSPCA boarding facility in Wales, photographed  hours before being returned to their owner after the case against him was  withdrawn  or otherwise.

Stood on an hill of what exactly? Deep litter? has anyone ever seen a deep litter bed like this one? a hill reaching almost four feet in height.

We have often heard of cases in which the RSPCA have prosecuted an owner and made reference to the depth of the bed. Is this any different to those cases? We think so, as we think that this one is far more dangerous, the fact that the front has obviously been kept low, makes for an obvious and dangerous hazard whereby an horse or pony kept in this enviroment may, when rolling, or even just lying down, easily slip down this hill and become cast (stuck/trapped) at the bottom of that hill.

We know they have mountains in Wales, but this is the first time we have ever seen a mountain in an horses stable!

Note also the empty water bucket on its side!

Before

The winter photograph shows the pony just 3 weeks before RSPCA had the pony seized, happy and healthy.

After

The summer photograph is the same pony after six months in RSPCA 'care', looking generally unhealthy, poor coat condition, looking depressed and having lost lots of weight, summer time when ponies are usually naturally looking their best.

Just a few days later this pony was dead. Despite the RSPCA having had this pony in their care for 6 months they still claimed the death was the fault of the offender!.
